You might be a Running Mom…

Sunday is Mother’s Day!  I honor all the mothers who have given so much of themselves to care for her children.  It’s a challenging job but the best job I’ve ever had by far.  I feel blessed to have the opportunity to firsthand watch my babies grow into tiny people with differing personalities.  It happened so quickly and I know my time with them is limited as they grow to become more independent beings.

Running is a significant part of my life. Now that the girls are older, they are more aware of what their mama loves to do.  I want to give a shout out to the running moms as well who share their passion with their kids.  Can you relate to these experiences and maybe share some of your own?

You might be a Running Mom…

-If the kids see a woman running on TV, in a magazine or on the road, they point and say ‘It’s Mama, it’s mama!’

You might be a Running Mom…

-If you wear a dressy top and jeans at kindergarten drop-off, the other moms notice and make a comment that  you’re not wearing your ‘workout’ clothes.

You might be a Running Mom…

-If you come home from a run (not a race) and the kids ask if you won a medal.

You might be a Running Mom…

-If medals no longer hang on the wall but are playthings for the kids (hence the reason they ask if you got a medal).

You might be a Running Mom…

-If after both kids are dropped off in school, the first thing on your to-do list is to go for a RUN!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I’m linking up with the DC Trifecta Ladies for their Friday Five. Thanks Courtney, Mar  and Cynthia for hosting!
